Stages of Recovery
Recovery is a process that requires going through stages of care in order to result
in sustainable sobriety. The first stage is detox which is critical to bring the physical
chemistry in balance. The second stage is often residential care so that there is time to
be fully immersed in education, self-awareness, and goal-setting for the return to both
physical and mental health. The third stage is intensive out-patient care to create ongoing
mentoring and monitoring of the progress toward the goals that have been set and to allow a
safe and confidential place to discuss and work through issues that arise as growth is being
attained toward full recovery.
